I hope I actually read

1. Nonsense: The Power of Not Knowing by Jamie Holmes

I think this will be a great book to read sometime in adulthood to bring me comfort and teach me lessons about that shared confusion we all feel about how to navigate life.

2. The Words I Wish I Said by Caitlin Kelly

I was very intrigued by the last line of the goodreads blurb for this book, "you may be able to take most of me but you'll never be able to take all of me."

3. The Dust That Falls from Dreams by Louis de BerniƩres

Besides this book just sounding interesting, I think it will show how one large event (World War I in this case) can really change a persons mindset towards everything that follows.

4. Well-Behaved Indian Women

It has been a journey for me to fully appreciate my culture and it's something I hope to never get detached from, and so I think this book will be relatable and also bring me some nostalgia and joy in a few years.

5. Melancholy and Cinnamon: A journey through mental hell by Gabrielle G

Poetry can be really beautiful sometimes so I would love to sit down and fully read a poetry book one day. This one talks about the struggles of mental health and will probably be a good reminder for me one day to take care of my mental health and remind my loved ones to take care of theirs.

6. Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn

I get scared pretty easily but I do I want to read a good thriller book because I feel like it will be hard to stop reading it once I start. There are a lot of thrillers out there but this one was on the Amazon's 100 Books to Read in a Lifetime, so it must be good right?

7. The Things You Can See Only When You Slow Down: How to be Calm and Mindful in a Fast-Paced World

I forget that books don't always have to have a deep purpose or underlying message and that it can purely just be to bring joy and solitude sometimes. This book will be nice to enjoy if I ever get too stressed in college and even the further future, or just something to relax with at the beach.

8. In Five Years

This book seems like it'll be a good one to show how unpredictable life is and how much can change.

9. The Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling

Too many pages and words for a non-avid reader. This is honestly the only thing that's been keeping me from reading the Harry Potter books for years. I love the movies and I know people say the books are even better and explain things in so much more detail, so I'm really hoping I'll have the patience to read these one day.

10. We Are Not Like Them by Christine Pride and Jo Piazza

This book seems interesting because it explores a growing friendship (not just the typical teenager one) and shows how race affects many other aspects of life.

Weekend Plans:

Buying flowers for mom. Also this weather is too hot for Michigan

Couldn't decide if these were scary or cute. Eventually decided on scary so got a succulent instead.
